Saturday, 6th October 2007
Championship leader, James Toseland put in a perfect lap of Magny-Cours in France to pick up pole position ahead of his title showdown.
The Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider lapped in 1min 38.501secs a good half second under the best lap time seen at the French circuit.
Joining him on the much coveted front row of the grid is young gun Max Neukirchner who is standing in for the injured Yukio Kagayama. He was just 0.023secs off Toseland's time and has been impressive given that this is his first time on the Alstare Corona Extra Suzuki.
Troy Corser on the Yamaha Italia lines up in third place with his hard riding team-mate Noriyuki Haga completing the front row of the grid in fourth place.
Full report to follow.

Last round at Magny-Cours tomorrow. It would be nice to see Toseland win the championship a second time and just before he goes off for a baptism of fire in MotoGP next year.
If Mad Max Biaggi can finish high up the order in both races tomorrow, he could hold on to second place in the championship, which would just confirm his talent. |
