There is a shop on Cipero street in Sando that had new grilles up to the other day, a little way down from Carplus on the same side going South. The normal type though, not the louvered type.

My rear left back door is just a shell of its former self Sad

^Great sleeper, where did ya get the parts?

Gonna start the bodywork on mine soon hopefully, will start with that back door and move on to the other bad parts from there.I have a replacement door, it needs work though. It will look like a rat rod for a while I guess since I will be driving it while working on it, but it would be in better condition and safer as well.

Changed tires this past Saturday, old set was like slicks. Luckily I had a set of hardly used Dunlop SP Sport GT tires that were formerly on our 98' lancer befor we switched to 14'. Car handling a good bit better now Cool

Car seems to be burning more and more oil. Possibly the Valve seals have gone really bad by this time.

On a lighter note, made me some "euro" style license plates since my dog ate my front one. She can't eat these I hope, aluminum Cool

How did you sort out the rusty "A-pillar" and flexing windscreen issues?

I have resigned to the fact that there are no more craftsmen....hence I am doing all my body prep myself
I will do all the stripping wrt the MG, and I will do final assembly. Similarly with the HSR next time around....hopefully by then I'll be handy with a spray gun too

^ If I have the right equipment to paint by then perhaps I can help. All I have now are low preasure guns and a 3/4hp compressor, good for lacquer and enamel, not as good with 2K.

^ ^ ^ zodiaque don't try to paint with a small portable compressor if you can avoid it.
More mistakes, headaches and work in that direction IMHO.
Problems include OIL, WATER and DIRT in paint. Itz ah b!tch to correct these IMHO.

Why compressor in the first place? You WILL also need ... Regulator... (Pressure control)...
Water Seperator... Dessicator (both needed to remove water in the line.)

Not trying to give you a "hard sell" pitch... but why not HVLP turbine?
I can get you a reasonable HVLP Turbine. No regulator, water seperator etc needed.
It's CHEAPER and gives less overspray and paint application headaches.
Why not get together with MG in a "Group Buy"? That will cut the cost in half.
... and you can help with each other's cars to finish in HALF the time too.

Also, use water-based paint system (eg. Auto Air.) MUCH easier to use for a novice.
Mistakes and blemishes MUCH easier to correct. Best feature for novices and
MOST important is... NO RUSH TO APPLY SECOND COAT AFTER "FLASH-OFF" TIME.
It's compatable with urethane clear coats too. Use urethane last, then colour sand/buff.
Try to stay away from "metallics" and "pearls" for your first attempt.

This is the most important advice I can suggest...
Whatever you use... please use a TOP-QUALITY RESPIRATOR from 3Ms etc.
Respirator MUST protect from ISOCYANATES (Urethane clear coat)
and PARTICULATES (all paint overspray.)

My $0.02
