Cam Timing ah looking to get an adjustable Pulley made and ah need someone to install it. ha loosing power high up on the RPM band because ah running to rich and the timing off.

David as we spoke earlier, this is just a reminder. Take off your original cam gear(vernier gear) carry it to the machine shop, explain to them that you want to make it adjustable. The key to it is to let them make an adjustable plate that bolts onto the gera with about 4 to 6 screws, so the plate allows the gear to adjust for retardation or advancement of timing. I have this running on my ride perfectly. The only problem i forsee is tuning, how are you tuning this? I am running standalone engine management so this is easy to tune for me, but i dont know what management if any you are using, otherwise is ole school trial & error hopefully without breaking anything. Also remember this adjustment in timing is vvvvvery important as detonation can cause meltdown. Right now you are too rich but still in the safe zone, too rich is less power but less chance of damage also. |

yeh boy pressure ah getting ah cam gear from bailey over the weekend but ah install ah in cabin manual boost controler dis evening PAPA yuh weh sah now the standing up in third gear and only smoke......no clutch and like the bearing shell first time ah really enjoy being towed home........ |
