the nice thing about working at BMW (i did up until Feb.) was that i got to drive some the new models before they reach here. i drove the X5 3.0d with the twin sequential turbo motor (same engine in the 535d and the 335d) the 535d is actually a 3.0L motor but since they already have a 530d they called the twin turbo diesel a 535d.
the 3.0L twin turbo diesel makes more torque and more horsepower than the 3.0L petrol motor. it goes like a mutha and sips fuel while doing it.

want some real driving fun, you should try the 535d with X-Drive (4WD).
because of the Dynamic Stability Control with Traction Control (DSC+T), the ECU will lessen the throttle input to prevent wheelspin from a standing start but with X-Drive the standing starts are almost brutal.

didnt know the #35d engines had sequential turbos i know the #35i has two baby turbo's runnin parallel figured the #35ds turbo would be slightly bigger
