"Changes in the ice mass of Antarctica, Earth's largest freshwater reservoir, are important to understanding global sea level rise. Large amounts of Antarctic freshwater flowing into the ocean also could affect ocean salinity, currents and global climate."

Trinidad is already packing some serious heat these days... someone recently collapsed due to heat stroke in the news. This is not normal for T&T.

my thermometer recorded a maximum of 104.4 degrees Farenheit for this year.

I should record max. and min. temperatures for each day....so we cud tell what were the hottest days months.

What most Trinis don't grasp is that any change in ocean level, even a mere 1 cm could wipe out Tobago and most of Trinidad. This is the stuff they should be teaching children in school, not nonsense about colonization. We should get over colonialism and deal with the future I say.

I agree that a rise in the ocean levels will flood the lower costal regions. But 1 cm? please, be realistic...

the space between these brackets ]........[ is one centimeter.

Ok I was exaggerating with the 1 cm, however, as you can see from this article, 1 cm does on only mean a physical rise in sea levels, but because ocean systems heavily influence weather patterns and rates of erosion, I would say 1 cm rise, affecting a 1m erosion pattern is quite signifcant.
