Nick Heidfeld doubts that the FIA's crack down on flexible floors will affect either BMW or Ferrari at this weekend's Malaysian GP.
Following the Australian race, McLaren brought the FIA's attention to Ferrari and BMW's movable floors by writing to motorsport's governing body to request if they too could use similar systems.
The FIA responded by saying that they would introduce a new test to check the flexibility of cars' floors in time for this weekend's Malaysian GP.
The news meant that several teams, BMW and Ferrari being just two of them, had to modified their cars' floors.
However, according to Heidfeld, the modifications won't have much of an affect on this weekend's outcome as he feels Ferrari will still dominate, while BMW will cope with the changes just fine.
"I don't expect any issues with us," he told Autosport. "I don't expect any big change for anyone, including Ferrari.
"They are one and a half second quicker than anyone, and changing the floor does not take that away."
