Yvan Muller is predicting a busy testing period for SEAT before the next round of the World Touring Car championship at Zandvoort.

There is more than a month to go until the second round of the series, and Muller feels that the Spanish team will have to test every week in an attempt to close up to the dominant BMWs.

Muller was in a prime position for a good result in race two at Curitiba after he finished the first race in eighth place, but he was unable to take advantage of his pole position and slumped to fourth behind Augusto Farfus, Andy Priaulx and Jorg Muller.

SEAT are hoping that something will be done to equalise the field, but the team are also working hard to improve the Leon before the next round of the championship.

"We will work a lot," said Muller. "We expect to be on track every week in April to find all the little things which can make us go faster.

"Our objectives in Brazil were high, and we are disappointed. We have one of the heaviest cars in the championship, and there was nothing we could do."

Last week, Jordi Gene said that he hoped something would be done to give the front-wheel drive cars a chance to compete, and the Spaniard is concerned for the future of the series if BMW dominate for the rest of the season.

"I really hope something can be done," he told autosport.com. "We have had a good championship so far because we have seen many teams winning.

"The championship does not need just one car winning, that would not even be good for the team that is dominating."

I was watching some 2006 BTCC races on Speed Channel and was wondering where Yvan Muller went. I really out of it wrt Touring Cars. Good races though, but not enough TV coverage (at least on cable).

Somebody should give Jason Plato in BTCC a good kick in the a$$. His attitude is even worse than Ayrton Senna and he doesn't even have half of Senna's talent.

I found the coverage on cable is not adequate..I not even sure this last race was viewed..

I read in one of the web site where Seat wanted to pull out but it appears that is just a rumour..
