Who signature and permissions I have to get this time? I already have some experience in grave digging and re-animation as you know.

OK...sorry about not updating the project for such a long time...gonna run through just highlighting the body work to the point I got back the car (Jan-Dec 2005):
-- Removal/ installation of new right and left torque boxes
-- Repair of cowl and side panel
-- Removal and installation of new inner and outer rocker panels (complete floor pan, both right and left changed)
-- Shots of the car being pasted and prepared for paint
-- Painted and placed outside (same day rain fell and the painter informed me that this was OK as the paint was being cured). Car stayed in the rain for 3-4 week without being covered as I was told everyday that it would be placed inside to be finished.
OK thats for 2005!!! |

Electrical work started on April 2006 by Annan, a excellent electrician from St. Augustine. He not only wired the car from scratch, but paramount in building the car back as nothing was connected when I got the car from the body shop.
-- First thing was to strip all the wiring out of the body (sorry no photos)
-- Next step was to clean, prepare and undercoat the flooring, trunk, under-dash and engine compartment.
-- Wiring harness used was from Painless Performance Products (Part #20121) 14 Circuit 19671968 Ford Mustang.
It contained:
The Main Wire Harness, with Fuse Block pre-wired fuses and relays installed.
Pig Tails: Headlight Connector Harnesses, A/C Harness, Cluster Harness, Front Lights Ground Harnesses, Tail Ground Harness and 1968 Turn Signal Harness.
Bag Kit: 1 pkg. of small and 1 pkg. of large Nylon Tie Wraps, Ballast Resistor, Maxi Fuse, Firewall Grommets, 1968 Ignition Switch and a Fuse Identification Label.
Parts Box containing Terminals, Splices, Spare Fuses etc.
Also, used Marine 2 gauge wire for main ground, secondary ground and positive battery to solenoid (custom made by Peake's)
-- Shots of new wiring harness laid out in the car:

man, sometimes I forget how much work has gone into this car!!!
My only regret is not moving the car to a secret location when it was in my garage
You guys cannot begin to imagine the commotion when Kamikaze pulled into my yard with the stang on the trailer. ppl thought my parents won the lottery.....again
All I can say is, this car has to be one of the most special classics in this country, given its history, and the heart and soul that have gone into it, and I can only vouch for the last twenty years......... _________________

I could only imagine, I mean watching the amount of rust on the body from before, it really has made a comeback.
But props to you, because to do that amount of work on car some people would already given up. |

OK finally connected the fuel system...
tank
braided steel line
filter-fuel pump
and finally to the carb
Tried to fill the tank (thanks Kevin for lending me the 5 Gallon gas canister) on 14/04/2007 thinking that the tank was 16 Gallonsnot soturns out its now estimated to be 20 Gallons, which will be (20G=75.71L) X $2.75=$208.20
Stopped at $165.00 which was the third visit to the gas stationthe car still on jacks until the brakes are serviced so no need to fill it up completly...
