The sale of Aston Martin by Ford appears to be close to completion.
It has been widely rumoured that the buyer will be Prodrive, the UK company that specialises is rally and racing car development. Prodrive has been responsible for running the Subaru rally team and the Aston Martin sports car team.
The rumoured price tag is �500 million - less than Ford originally asked for, but still a worthwhile contribution to reducing Ford's global debt.
