Yeah if I could get the GTi-6 wheels, that would be perfect. I just need the 15's before I go through with the brake upgrade in the front. Don't want to go any bigger than 15's. You have any idea where in Trinidad sells 4x108 18mm offset wheels? Someone mentioned Lynton Rampersads or someting so. I might have to go aftermarket since the Cyclones seem impossible to get.

If you could get a quote on the GTi-6 wheels, that would be great. Prices on the aftermarket wheels such as Mille Miglia Spiders (15x6.5) would welcome too.

Also, could you find out the price on an OEM Valeo clutch kit for a 1997 106GTi (1.6 16V). Thanks.

How did you get your current wheels? Did you bring it in from the UK yourself? What suspension components do you have on now? Did you bring those in too?

The 106 is pretty much stock. All it has is an Ecosse intake which I brought in myself. That intake kit came with a Pipercross filter which I am not pleased with so I am replacing it with a K&N. I also removed the cat and put a straight pipe. The rest of the exhaust is original, kinda surprised that it has lasted almost 8 years of the car's life. The suspension is all original components too but that will be upgraded eventually.

Do you have a pic of your car? Here is the 106.

My wheels i got someone to bring them down.It is 17" wheels chrome spokes Koing wheels.I have a rear spoiler one of those black carbon type.A front mesh. I am using bilstein shocks and springs(45mm) in my car. The exhaust is a 3A Racing, a friend brought that down from the US and i also have an intake filter which i got here.Sorry i have no pic.

Your car looks nice, the 106 has lots of styling options more than mine 306 sedan.

The only thing i am doing right now is brakes and i am going to put chrome angel eyes headlights and use M3 jewel rear lights for the back. And i done. Do not want to rice the car..

Some time next year focus on engine..The stock engine still has some life to go.In the meantime i could save.

recommended brands of suspension for the older pugs are : B&G springs- which could be used with the stock shocks up to 35mm
Bilstein shocks and springs, AVO shocks and springs, and HR shocks and springs.
There are other brands just these seem to be more popular.

Using coilover would suitable with the 307 the models and upwards. The older Pugs uses a torsion bar at the rear(no springs) which can be adjusted. By removing the splines, i will provide details how this is done later today. The newer models are all springs..

What brand of springs are you using? Where did you get your Bilsteins? I am looking at going with either Bilsteins or Konis when I get around to it. The exhaust you have, is it a universal barrel? There is a nice Grp N exhaust system for the 106 that I would love but it would be cheaper to piece together something.

I am not too interested in the styling side to tell you the truth. I know that there are lots of items like that for the 106 but other things are on the list. Springs, shocks, bushings, strutbraces, brakes, cams, headers and lsd all come before the cosmetic side. But as long as I am dreaming, a dimma maxi kit would be nice and maybe some projector headlights. The tail lights are just fine though.

What headlights are you looking at? Are these them?

What do the jewel tail lights look like?

Also, who did the lowering of the rear on your car? How did it affect the handling?

I going with the first rear light. My mechanic lower my car , he works at City motors and do private jobs during the weekend.
In terms of handling, cornering my car runs on rails handles good..but the ride is bit hard due to the tires(40 series) and the lower stance of the car..
It is good what you are doing with your car, this person who is sourcing parts can get anything for the Pug, just let me know, or if you want i could give you the number..

The headlights look nice. Are they height adjustable (from the switch inside I mean) or does it just stay on one setting?

What kinda markup does this person add to the parts on top of the UK price? Just wondering if it makes more sense purchasing it directly from the supplier if I have a way to get it down.

By the way, what sort of duty is charged on wheels if I decide to bring them in myself?

This would be so much easier if the parts were available in the US.

not sure whats the person markup but when she gets the quote for the items u requested u could compared it..yes it would be alot easier if parts could be bought in the US..However i was told in Miami, but where?? u bought up a good point about the height adjustment, i will have to check that..i gave the person the list of items u want, so she will get back to me..
