With WAI compatibility: http://www.elementtuning.com/Hydramist/hydramistguide.htm
The Element Hydramist was developed from the beginning to be the ultimate water/methanol
injection with uncompromised performance, control, and safety. The Hydramist is a fully
integrated water/methanol injection solution controlled via the Hydra EMS.
This system allows full 3D mapping of water flow based on load and rpm, automatic map
switching, and unparalleled protection never seen before in any water/methanol
injection system. When we first set out to develop a water/methanol injection system we
discovered very quickly the limitations of most universal systems in that they rarely offered
precise control over the injection or the failsafe mechanisms were insufficient at
protecting the engine when failure occurred.
To help develop a superior system for the Hydra EMS Element Tuning worked with the
industry leader in water/methanol injection systems, Aquamist. _________________

looks ok. but expensive.i'd stick with AEM EMS or something like that for that price. or just reflash? _________________ I need more NOS |

Below 450 WHP... Reflash is all that's necessary IMHO. BTW that's approximately 480-485 BHP.
IMHO better to pay more attention to balanced fuel delivery and also detonation control
(using Water/Methanol Injection) at this level rather than EMS.
What has me curious is how seamlessly is the HydraMist integrated with the Hydra EMS.
What I want to know is exactly what are the extra "failsafe" features...
... and how much better are they compared to the Perrin AquaMist kit or the Snow etc. etc.?

i dont now about the perrin too much, but whats impressive with the hydramist is that it
automatically switches to a secondary user defined map when water is cut via direct link to
the EMS _________________ I need more NOS |

Yup that's exactly what many other units like the Perrin controller promises as well...
or cut ignition timing... or turn off water injection for low water level... or clogged injector etc.
... or flash a warning light... or alarm etc. etc.
BTW the same thing can also be achieved with many piggy-back and stand-alone EMS
(eg. Xede piggyback.)
What I want to know is what's new ... or at least more fool-proof about HydraMist. _________________ Walk softly... and carry a BIG stick! |
