Hey
Just found some really good motorsport photographers that we can look up to and get ideas from... I'll try and load a new one every week.

John Thawley maintains an archive filled with trackside photography from SCCA SPEED World Challenge, American LeMans, Grand American Series, Trans-Am and Champ Car. In 2003, Thawley was the official photographer for the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Cup.
Recent projects include publishing the officially licensed SCCA Pro SPEED World Challenge 2005 Year In Review and American Le Mans Series 2005 Collection, Champions. The American Le Mans 2005 Collection, Champions series, in addition to the linen bound edition, included a leather bound collector's volume and a signed and number boxed set of prints.

Thawley's racing images have been featured in print for companies such as Acura, Cadillac, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lexus, Maserati, Raybesto, StopTech in the pages of Autoweek, USA Today, SportsCar, Vette and others.
In addition to being a full-time motorsports photographer, John Thawley owns Creative Communications Group. Creative Communications Group, located in Michigan, is a company specializing in graphic design for print and electronic online applications. Unlike traditional graphic designers,Thawley has pursued the integration of online communications with traditional media as a seamless language.
Under Creative Communications Group, Thawley maintains several online initiatives including, Wheels On Walls, a high end gallery featuring the works of top photographers, past and present. Trackbytes.com, a news journal dedicated to sports car racing. American Le Mans, The Collection, a site featuring Amercian Le Mans Series collectible posters, books and greeting cards. The most recent project which will launch this fall is RaceCarPrints.com, an online photo agency featuring digital downloads and prints.
Earlier this year, Thawley founded the Automotive Photographer's Network, a site for photographers at both the enthusaist and professional levels featuring news, reviews, a professional member directory and community forum.
Thawley travels extensively throughout the year shooting the full schedules of American Le Mans Series, SPEED World Challenge Series and select Grand-Am, IRL and ChampCar events. Photographs are available for promotional, commercial and Web site use.
