Another useless TV6 People Meter type survey!
That rubbish site does not give any indication of the number of cars per brand and so the percentages will NEVER match up. Even if the number is one borne of inbreeding. i.e. the percentage is the amount of failure over total number of vehicle claim submitted then the sample sizes are still mismatched and the site is complete.
For example, the Top 10 rank:
1 SKODA 50.59
2 MAZDA 52.74
How many total cars does Skoda sell in the UK as compared to total number of Mazda? So for simplicity's sake lets say that Skoda sells 10 and Mazda sells 30...how would those top 10 figures above relate to that? What do the percentages really mean anyway?
No qualifying data, no sample size, no error margin specified, no explanation of sampling technique, no individual qualification for the meanings of the weights applied per category, no independent body certifying the authenticity of the data, no manufacturer endorsements, no sense believing anything they have on that site. |

It is interesting in what the survey says but, there are always different views being expressed even by myself.. I am surprised certain high end euros are below..Even though these cars are below we still see them on the road.. |

I agree with everything you have just said ! polls are often skewed; who really analyses these results critically ? marketing PR's often have their own $$$$$ agenda and I bet these poll takers drive the very same cars that are at the "bottom" of the reliability list they will use the $$$ they get from the JAPS for their "results" to purchase bmw's, benz's and d like .... |
