With 2007 already more than a week old, the Formula One teams are looking forward to the new season with gusto and, over the next month, the majority are set to officially unveil their new cars.
Toyota will kick off proceedings this Friday when the wraps come off the TF107 at the teams German base in Cologne. Ferrari look set to be next in line, with the Italian squad expected to brief the media on their 2007 challenger on Sunday, January 14.
McLarens 2007 machine, complete with revised livery inspired by new title sponsors Vodafone, will be unveiled a day later on January 15 at a special presentation in Valencia. Fernando Alonso is expected to enjoy a shakedown test in the car two days later. McLaren will be joined at the Spanish circuit by BMW Sauber, who launch their new car, the F1.07, on January 16.
Honda will reveal their 2007 challenger, the RA107, on January 24 during testing at Spains Circuit de Catalunya. The Japanese teams car will be officially presented to the media a day later - though in testing, rather than race, colours. A special livery launch is set to take place at a later date in February.
Renault are also planning a two-pronged approach. Although the world champions 2007 car will be officially unveiled in Amsterdam on January 24, it won't be the first glimpse of the teams new machine - the R27 is set to make its debut appearance over a week earlier during testing at Spains Jerez circuit.
Williams will wait until February 2 to unveil their new car. The wraps will come off the Toyota-powered FW29 at the teams UK factory in Grove, before it heads straight to Jerez to make its inaugural test outing the following week.
Spyker have yet to announce official launch plans, but new driver Adrian Sutil has revealed that he hopes to test the teams 2007 car at Silverstone in early February. Similarly, Red Bull and Toro Rosso have said no more than they expect to test their new cars for the first time in late January/early February. There has been no official word on the new Super Aguri.
