around 1.3 bar
But air temp and other variables can affect this
But most time around 1.3 bar _________________ #69

thanks...i recently noticed this info was in the evo buyers guide. You recommend anything other than an HKS vpc to avoid this? _________________

full mappable ecu or Re-flash
Now if you use a piggy-back(e.g Safc)if the car is rich at and around the point of the fuel cut you can actually "trick" the car into thinking its not getting that much air by bringing down the duty cycle. In order words the Piggy Back gives the ECU the impression that it has not reached the fuel cut level
Greddy's Emange has a feature to clamp the voltage so the ecu never sees the fuel cut voltage. However this should only be used with the additional injector harness so you can add fuel once you have exceeded this point _________________ #69

Can't reflash the VI's as things stand. Good info BLUE_CP9A. This would have the effect of increasing timing as well...which one will have to be careful with if going past 1.3 Bar with your tune. The Mass Airflow Sensor is Karman Vortex Type. The reading from the sensor is delivered as a frequency - Hz.
A reduction in the frequency via an SAF-C will result in decreased injector pulse width and thus a leaner air:fuel ratio. Lower Mass Airflow Signal corresponds to lower engine load and timing in the ECU open loop tables.
It was recently brought to my attention by Sanctifier that the Crank Angle Sensor meaures in Hz as well. As measured by the waves or vibrations produced by the knock (before you can even hear it). The evo scan software meaures these readings, but it performs some kind of calculation to convert the actual Hz value into discrete data (i.e. whole number or fraction). The results have been accurate thus far on evolutionm. Useful for when knock logging when running above fuel cut. _________________

Yup you will need something to retard cause you would probally get knock on NP's gas the fuel should be OK most evos run very rich stock....Best bet is complete stand alone management _________________ #69

what device would you guys be using for knock detection?
And hopefully a wideband lambda for fuel? _________________ #69

Innovative LC-1, Defi EGT and Evo Scan v0.97 to log knock. We have no means of controlling timing independant of knock right now. After purchasing all these parts, it'll be a while before we buy anything new like an EMS...until then we'll lay down a base tune via safc-II making sure knock sum at the maximum doesn't go past 2 on the logs. _________________
