I just drove a Kia Avella 5-door hatch back from Maracas. It was shod with Firestone Firehawk SS 205/60s.
I bothered to check because I could not believe how well the car handles! The turn in reminds me of the late model Elan from Lotus that I know Kia bought the rights to manufacture as the Kia Elan. The turn in is sharp and the car rotates in the corner effortlessly. You don't have to bother with the brakes because one, it's really a bit slow but on downhill who cares and two, it goes where you point it with nothing like understeer! AS long as you stay off the brakes in fact, the limit is much higher that you peg it for in this ugly little thing. It's great! I have to find out if my cousin modified this car... it's his office beater so I highly doubt it. Body roll was surprisingly minimal and progressive.
I really am wondering now about similarities between the Elan and the Kia Avella.

I guess 205/60 is a big step up in tires from 165/70...

is ah nice car though; maybe more people should go 4 ah kia test drive once in ah while... just a thought ...
i have never driven one though, but it does look O K 
but den i am biased toward korean cars ... just 2 b honest

has kia had a good track record in trinidad? i've never actually heard much about it, but neither have i heard bad reviews ...
... just wondering.... i tend to hear more positive reviews about the sportage suv, though....
does that kinda put kia in a similar local situation like suzuki? for eg. i only hear a lot of commendations about,and see, the vitara suv but not much on the swift and others....
it's just a personal observation  |
