91 c62a lancer.. ( DOH LAUGH DAMIT)..... after ah unsucesffull atempt to conver the stock 1500 to manula via a cb mivec box.. ( talk bout stress ) we bac to the 3 spd auto from a 1300 no less ( kinda hopin on the off chance mitsu actual used diffrent ratios but ne way) it auto.. so feelin depressed after waiting so long and wasting shitloads of $$ i decided to install the drop springs i bought at the begining of the project.. needless to say 40mm drop is awsome on the 13" i had b4 the car is so low that a standard hydraylic jack cannot fit under it ne more. need less to say this is amusing as i live in a area notorious for it rediculous number an size of speed bumps.. lol. ( ah went an test it in front meh house.. trust me it does touch.. lol).. unfortunately a minor altercation with a b15 and a twoo foot deep trench last year resulted in a slight chassi kink just where the front of the left cradle arm bolts to the car.. resulting in the left axel tryin to hop out and in the process destroying the inner joints (I HATE FWD CARS!!!)... so ne way .. the plan is in the next week or so to have it straightend some where as i do not have the correct nummber or strength of point to witch to ancor the car to to straighten the part.. after wards.. we intend to runn some 1 X 3/8 " or simmilar steel to tie the caca neess that mitsubishi did under there in ordet to strengthen the bottom in addtion some seam wellding to be done in front is a verry real option at this point.. and whell as we doin the bottom custom adjustable bar to be built for the top also.. im favouring the rwd stlye triangle strut bar.. and some tie ins to teh rad suport.. box in the m/c engine bay... a lil l8r on we 'll tackle the bac.. still deciding on how much i value the ability to fold down the rear seat.. ( heh heh).. also plan on locating some 15/16" rims so that i can upgrade the front rottors and calipers to the set up from the Koren Galant aka Hyndai sonata.... for the back how ever not to sure if i wanna part with the drums as i love pulling my hand brakes.. but i think i might go to the stock c62a disc set up and replace the rotors with brand new vented rotors.. this is to facilitate proposed power upgrades.. (heh heh)

sooo.. ne way.. its goin to be a long expensive year..

and i hopin to score a reall project car b/c i doo detest fwd applications.. but lets see waht rwd thinkin i can apply to is m/c

one of my dream projects was to rally-prep a KE30 corolla.....my first car was a manual KE30...nice shifting 4 speed, decent pep from the 1.3. Plan was to strip it, cage it, reinforce it, weber and extractor it, suspension-upgrade it, and then go kill myself in the gravel Smile but my bodyman had other ideas and made a mess of the body job, so I sold it... Sad but it did geve me 7k to put towards buying the MG, but I still long for a nice, solid KE30............

any update on the projects fellas?

i just fitted disc brakes oto my mini .. although mini discs were used, the rims stuck out too far out of the fenders,
i had to upgrade to jap 13's with a different offset to get the wheels a bit under the fender..

flares will be added , the zug up marks in the pics was some additional cutting done that same morning...

with the wider tyres, my traction problem is solved but now , breaking axles is a problem .. i drove the car 3 times since the 13's upgrade and i broke axles twice.... i think i'll have to machine some SR20 Axles or B16A axles to fit in the mini hubs .. right now i'm driving it very carefully (which is very difficult with the copper clutch)
