JKA and Red bull locked off a portion of Kingston this weekend and set up an amazing Kart Circuit. The course was fast, tight and tricky! More on this soon!

She made 4th overall in the final Race of Champions (top drivers of each rotax class) and her daily driver is a Toyota MR2 Turbo (modified), or as she calls it "her big go kart." Girl can DRIVE!!!
13 years later Lisa Hanna still looks like a Miss World... form like dat!

Around 40 magazines (Issue #8 ) were given to the drivers of the JKA, marking our entry into the Jamaican market. With all the buzz concerning the event on Saturday night, it was difficult to get a word in with the drivers and officials since there were quite a few changes being made for the event on Sunday. The focus at the meeting however was placed on the smooth running of the event, what was going to happen if they needed to save time to stay on schedule (i.e. what races/practice session/classes etc. would be cut); basically Plan A, B, C etc. and requirements for pit and VIP area entry.

After the Karting briefing which was held at a Suzuki/KIA dealership, we headed down to Knutsford Blvd. to check out how the street was coming together at 11pm onward into Sunday morning. The staff worked through the night to make it all happen, here are a few moments from the adventure:
VIP Tent being constructed
Fence posts up, Tents going up...
Media tent being decorated
Tires!
Main Street Sign finally goes up
Surprise! VIP Tent gets one too!
Andre, Mitch and others making it all happen...
We had to physically lift and bump one car out of the way to let the fence here go up...
Post for fence casted into brick, held down by steel U-rods cast into drilled street. (no they don't have Vtec)

Once the roof structure is built onto the four posts, it is hoisted using a chain drive on each of them.
The Red Bull Mini arrives on the scene filled with ice cold RB for everyone working.
