Can This Be The New Class For TTKA in 2007
!!!NEW BODY WORK!!!
THE EASYKART SERIES AND CONCEPTS OF EASYKART COMPETITION
What is an Easykart?
It is a "TOUCH & GO" kart, meaning it has a starter on-board.
Same specifications for chassis, engine, tires and all components making racing these karts easy and fun at an affordable price. Very cost effective, as all karts are the same and it's unnecessary to have different hubs, axles, wheels for tuning. All Easykarts come with sealed engines, prevent the need to spend addition money for engine blueprinting and engine development.
EasyKarts are a Birel chassis with an air cooled 125cc Parilla-IAME engine with an electric start. It has a single Tillotsen carburetor, a rechargeable battery, an internal battery charging system, dry clutch and spec Tires.
The different classes of Easykart and the ages of the drivers:
Easykart Baby - Drivers from 5 to 8 years.
Easykart 60cc. - Drivers from 8 to 12 years.
Easykart 100cc - Drivers from 12 to 15 years
Easykart 125cc Light - Drivers from 15 and above
Easykart 125cc Heavy - Drivers heavier than 170 lbs or more than 34 years old.
Who is the Easykart manufacturer?
Easykart was created by the association of the two largest manufacturers of karting components in the world, Birel & IAME. Birel has been 24 times World karting Champions and is by far the largest manufacturer in the karting industry. Parilla-IAME engines are recognized worldwide, as the best in the market.
All Easykarts are assembled in Italy and imported to the American Continent by Easykart America LLC, unique importer and distributor of the Easykart project for the Americas.
Levels of competition for Easykart:
1. National Level : Stars of Tomorrow and SKUSA TAG classes and WKA Manufacturer's Cup.
2. International Level. Winners of the USA and South American Regional Series will be able to compete at the Grand Nationals at year-end. Winners in each class will then move on to the Easykart World Championships in Italy.
3. Pan-American Level: You can compete in any of the Regional Pan-American Championships near you; for example: Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Ecuador have their own Easykart Pan-American Championships. Easykart America will facilitate arrangements for international drivers.
4. Regional Level: WKA Florida Sprint series, Great Lakes Sprint series and others.
5. Local Level: Each Easykart local representative has its own club series.
Easykart links to FormulaBMW:
Formula BMW USA series has chosen Easykart a feeder series for their program because of the close similarities and objectives of both series. Both are focused on spec racing, driving skills development & equality of opportunities for all drivers.
How fast is an Easykart?
Easykart has been consistently faster than all similar classes on all tracks visited. Its simplicity of components, Italian design chassis-engine combination makes Easykart competitive and reliable at most tracks.
Can I modify my Easykart?
No, Easykart is a spec concept where everyone races in equal equipment. No engine modifications or blueprinting are allowed and no change to chassis components.
The only changes to the original kart that are allowed are the seat (no kevlar or carbon fiber), bodywork color, steering wheel and addition of a tach/temp/laptimer guage.
The Easykart project was created with the partnership between Birel and Iame, two of the most prestige companies in the karting world.
The technical know how and with the victories, have been remarkable. Birel and Iame have also introduced many Formula One drivers like Juan Pablo Montoya and Fernando Alonso into the world of racing.
In the Easykart project, both drivers have given their own experience in supporting the basic kart.
Easykart offers several advantages as:
Package:
- Dramatic cost reduction with low maintenance.
- Touch and Go! Technology. On-board starter with self-charging system. No pushing.
- Karts delivered fully assembled with sealed engines and tires
Rules:
- All karts use the same specification chassis, sealed engines, carburetors, exhaust pipe, tires, and components.
- Very minor modifications allowed including color of bodywork, motorsport steeering wheel, pedals, etc.
Drivers:
- Drivers' talent in driving and set-up are of paramount importance.
- Great for drivers who work and have little time for maintenance.
- Drivers will spend more time having fun and participating for great prizes
I am Interested in getting this class introduced to the TTKA Racing hopefully for 2007
My Reasons
1.Everyone Races on the same Equipment-No unfair advantage its all about the Driver here
2.No need to spend extra money to modify kart to become Competitive!
3.TAG-Touch and Go Ease of use
4.Cost should be significantly cheaper as theses are sealed engine and said to be more reliable than the KT100cc(current Beginner class at TTKA)
5.Ability to race abroad!Formula BMW
Now its the 125cc we're after as most people will be over 15 and the weight limit will be easier on Drivers.
Now Persons interested Submit your names and Lets Start a list and then i can direct this to the Importer and TTKA and get the Ball rolling.Do Not hesitate to ask any questions i'm sure i have forgotten a few things......PM ME
Now to Race at a TTKA EVENT
All Drivers Must wear Racing Gear
1.FULL FACE HELMET
2.RACING SUIT(Doesn't need to be fire resistant)
3.Neck Brace
4.High Top Racing shoes
5.Racing Gloves
Cost of a 125cc Easy Kart is us$4395.00
Now we know it will cost more landed here...I will see if i can get a landed cost _________________ #69

Ditto, With an older car there is no such thing as spare change to play with.
I would have liked to get into either this or biking, both look like loads of fun _________________
