DP-Engineering is proud to present the Versatile Engine Management System v3.3 developed by the Vems Group. The VEMS v3.3 ECU (Genboard as it was originally called) started out as a DIY management solution for automotive enthusiasts and has grown to the level of becoming a real threat to the established programmable management manufactures. It provides an unparalleled level of performance and versatility, yet, remains a very affordable system.

The VEMS v3.3 programmable engine management system is what the name promises it to be, a versatile management system that can be used for independant control of virtually any fuel injected engine and manage many engine parameters, such as boost control, nitrous control, high quality idle control, knock detection and exhaust gas temperature. At it's simplest, it can be configured to handle systems with points type triggers, while running batched injection with narrow band lambda sensing.

More than just another fuel injection computer, it manages sequential injection and ignition timing on up to 16 cylinders, complete with 2 channel wideband lambda controller. It has features and performance that embarass ECUs many times the price, and it can be configured by laptop or by directly connecting a keyboard and LCD screen.

The electronic control unit of the VEMS management system is the VEMS v3.3; fuel injection control
ignition control precise
idle air controller closed loop
wideband lambda control

are just its basic functions. In fact anything you name, this controller supports it!

Typical applications

Control of fuel injection and ignition on modified engines
Conversion from carburetion to fuel injection
Race and rally applications of all description
Design and development purpose

VEMS v3.3 ECU Features

Support for most common trigger arrangements.
1-8 cylinder full sequential injection with coil on plug/coil near plug, wasted spark, or 1-2 distributors. Or, 10-16 cylinder semi-sequential with wasted-spark/ 1-2 distributors.
Closed loop wideband lambda control (WOT closed loop) - lambda (AFR) mapable through entire loadsite-range (pressure, RPM).
Turbo friendly features such as Exhaust Gas Temperature input (two channel), anti-lag, and boost control.
2 channel acoustic knock sensing. Ignition can be configured to be adjusted automatically within a range from configured reference table.
Integrated fully mappable, digitally controlled boost controller.
Configurable control of low and high current drivers for lights, relays and solanoids.
Advanced idle control using bipolar stepper or (ON/OFF or PWM) solenoid and ignition advance for fine adjustments. Together with precise all-loadsites WBO2 this results in awesome idle quality if tuned properly.
Vehicle standard OEM sensors can be used.
High Quality Case and Connectors.
